Steam-treated milled rice — firmer cooked grain and lower breakage, popular in food service.
Steam rice is treated with steam before milling, which hardens the grain, reduces breakage and gives a firm, separate cooked texture that holds up in commercial kitchens.
Supplied in Sona Masoori and other South Indian varieties depending on the market you are serving.
